Unit 8:  Applications of Equilibrium

Chapter 14: Acid / Base Equilibrium

Chapter 15: Aqueous Equilibrium

This unit carries on with the topics of Equilibrium that was started in Chapter 13.  Much of Equilibrium centers on the behavior of acids and bases.  In Chapter 14 you will learn how different acids and bases behave in solution and then how their Keq controls the type of acid or base it is.  In Chapter 15, you will see how different salts behave, and on occasion what a mixture of acids and salts are like.
